For parents, churches and teachers

How to use Mimi & Lumi

Each episode is about two and a half minutes long. That’s just enough story to spark a conversation, and short enough to watch again tomorrow.

At home

Watch together rather than handing over a screen. Pause to ask “What do you think will happen?”, then use the three questions afterwards. The memory verse makes a lovely bedtime routine.

At church

Play an episode from YouTube to open Sunday school, children’s church or a toddler group. Each episode page has the questions, an activity, a prayer and a free printable Sunday school sheet and colouring page: a ready-made session.

At nursery or school

Episodes work well as a short, calm introduction to a Bible story in RE or assembly, with the full passage and transcript on the page for teachers.

A simple routine

Watch, wonder, talk, pray

  1. Watch the episode together, all the way through.
  2. Wonder aloud: “I wonder how Mimi felt…” Little ones love to finish your sentence.
  3. Talk with the three questions on the episode page. There are no wrong answers.
  4. Pray the short prayer together and say the memory verse.

What we promise families

  • Faithful stories. Every episode starts from the Bible text, which we show in full on the episode page. Any creative touches are explained in the notes for parents.
  • Calm, not frantic. We choose a gentle pace, warm voices and simple words over flashing noise.
  • Safe settings. Our YouTube channel is set as “made for kids”: comments are off and ads aren’t personalised. This website has no ads, sign-ups or tracking cookies.
  • Captions on every episode, so children can follow along with the words and families with hearing loss can enjoy it too.
