Questions and answers

Frequently asked questions

Everything parents, churches and teachers usually ask about Mimi & Lumi.

What is Mimi & Lumi?

Mimi & Lumi is a free animated series of Bible stories for children aged 2 to 6. Each short episode retells a story from the Bible with Mimi, a curious little lamb, and Lumi, a tiny clay lamp with a big bright light. Every episode comes with a memory verse, questions to talk about together and a short prayer.

What age is it for?

Mimi & Lumi is made for toddlers and preschoolers, roughly ages 2 to 6. Episodes are short (about two and a half minutes), gently paced and use simple words, so they also work well for early readers and as a starting point for older children.

Is it free to watch?

Yes. Every episode is free to watch on our YouTube channel, @mimiandlumi, and on this website.

How faithful is it to the Bible?

Every episode starts from a Bible passage, and we keep the story’s meaning as the Bible tells it. Each episode page shows the full passage, so you can read it alongside the video. Where we add small creative touches for little ones, like giving the lost lamb a name, we say so in the notes for parents.

Which Bible translation do you use?

We quote the King James Version (the Authorized Version), the Bible many families and churches know and love. Each episode page shows the full passage, and every memory verse is the Bible’s own words, quoted exactly with its reference, so children learn real Scripture they can find in their own Bible.

Can we show it at church, in Sunday school or at school?

Yes, please do. You can play any episode straight from YouTube in Sunday school, children’s church, a toddler group or a classroom. Each episode page has questions and an activity you can use with your group. If you need something else for your church or school, email [email protected].

Do you have colouring pages or Sunday school resources?

Yes, and they’re free. Every episode page has a printable colouring page and a one-page Sunday school and family sheet with the Bible passage, memory verse, questions, an activity, a prayer and a QR code to the episode. Both come in A4 and US Letter. Start with The Lost Sheep printables.

Is it safe for young children?

Our YouTube channel is set as “made for kids”, which means comments are switched off and ads aren’t personalised. This website has no ads, no sign-ups and no tracking cookies, and videos only load from YouTube when a grown-up presses play.

How do you make Mimi & Lumi?

Every script starts with the Bible passage. We then bring each story to life with modern animation and voice tools, including AI, and every scene is reviewed before an episode is released. Our aim is simple: Bible stories made with the same care and quality as the best children’s television.

How can I get in touch or support Mimi & Lumi?

Email us at [email protected]. We’d love to hear from parents, churches, schools and anyone who would like to help us make more episodes. Subscribing on YouTube and sharing an episode with another family helps more than you might think.
